Key parties in the development of the new 30,000 sq ft Booths Supermarket on Ringtail Retail Park in Burscough gathered for an official ground break for the build.
The design and build of the store will resemble an aircraft hangar and the creation of a memorial garden for the Royal Naval Air Station monument which will be moved to a fully accessible, safer and more prominent position.
“Our ethos in designing stores is to complement the architecture and character of the surrounding landscape, and we’re very excited about giving this supermarket the look and feel of an aircraft hangar, which will suit the needs of a supermarket very well indeed.”
The whole retail development including Booths Supermarket have been designed with the highest green principles in mind and adhere to international BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standards.
