Waddington and Son is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors
Charlotte Fitzpatrick, head of the family law department, and Nicola Mawson, head of private client, will join their fellow directors, Colin Warner and Trish Hassell, in helping shape the firm’s future moving forward.
Qualifying as a Solicitor in 2009, Nicola joined Waddington and Son in November 2021 and has extensive experience in several areas of law but specialises in Court of Protection Deputyship matters. She acts in many high-net-worth matters for clients suffering from issues affecting their mental capacity and Nicola is also a member of the Professional Deputies Forum.
Charlotte joined Waddington & Son in July 2021, after qualifying in 2011 and working at her previous firm of Solicitors for over seven years. In June 2022, Charlotte became head of the family department and specialises in proceedings brought by the local authority, representing parents, grandparents and children.
She is also a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel and is an accredited member of Resolution.
Proud to join the board of directors, Charlotte and Nicola are beyond excited to contribute to the firm’s future and build on their fantastic reputation, whilst continuing their duties in the family department and private client department.
Colin Warner, director, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Charlotte and Nicola to the board of Directors. They have both made a substantial contribution to making Waddington and Son the firm it is today and I look forward to working closely with both of them as the firm continues to grow from strength to strength.”
