A solicitor at a Lancashire law firm has completed an industry leading qualification which will enhance the level of expertise and support on offer to clients.
Victoria Taylor, solicitor in the Wills and Estate Planning team at Napthens solicitors, has achieved the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Diploma.
STEP is the professional association for those advising families on succession and estate planning, and has worldwide recognition.
The Diploma is designed to develop an increased understanding of issues surrounding trusts and estates, while developing a practical understanding of the law and procedures involved.
It consists of four advanced certificates, administration of trusts, administration of estates, taxation of trusts and estates and trust and estate accounting.
Kathryn Harwood, head of the Wills and Estate Planning team, said: “This qualification means Victoria will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the most up-to-date issues affecting our clients, and provide quality expert advice now backed by a prominent industry body. It is a great indication of her knowledge and experience.” Victoria is based at Napthens’ East Lancashire office in Blackburn, where she advises clients on making and reviewing Wills, estate planning, Court of Protection and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
