Burnley businessman Paul Dawson has launched VICAN Connect, a new IP telephony business to help startups and SMEs across Lancashire have access to high quality business connectivity.
Research into local SME business needs led Paul to launch the service, which has until now only been available to business tenants in his ANVIC group of offices.Offering a fixed price per user, easy installations and the most competitive set up fees, VICAN will enable Lancashire businesses of all sizes the opportunity to work with a local, trusted provider that guarantees good cloud-based telephony and internet connectivity. Packages are created for offices, call centres and homeworkers.
Paul is one of the region’s foremost entrepreneurs: his company ANVIC was formed almost 30 years ago and now owns two major Burnley office buildings as well as two in Manchester city centre. He was one of the founders of Burnley Bondholders, a collective of businesses that seek to support and encourage business development in the region and improve the reputation of the town and its surrounding areas.“VICAN researched the issues facing start ups and SMEs in the region and connectivity and image were top of the list, so the launch of VICAN was a logical step,” said Paul on the launch.
“ANVIC already provided a service that gives businesses of all sizes a fully integrated telephony service so the expertise was in place. Now it can be offered to the wider business community and companies as small as one person can benefit from a professional connection service and excellent IP call costs.”The company is already working with New Day Dating, Red Recruitment and Carers Link and will announce new clients over the coming months. Concludes Paul: “The service will be open to customers throughout the Northwest but we are concentrating on the Lancashire region first. I’m delighted to work with these local companies and will enjoy helping other entrepreneurs get the best out of their telephone and internet systems.”
