We have recently completed a refresh and upgrade at the Sheffield HQ demonstration facility of advanced security and surveillance systems provider, Synectics. The Synectics HQ demo facility now showcases cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions.
The project allows Synectics’ Synergy security and surveillance software platform to be fully integrated with the UVS Lucidity video wall controller technology, which can then be demonstrated to joint system integration partners and end clients.
Based in the Burnley First – Burnley Business Centre, UVS is led by four senior colleagues who, between them, have more than 80 years’ combined audio visual, control room and visual solutions experience.
Synectics provides tailored solutions for industries where security and surveillance are critical to operations, including gaming, oil and gas, public space, transport, and critical infrastructure.
We have worked closely with Synectics to deliver joint control room solutions for more than 16 years.
The upgrade of Synectics HQ demo facility comprises a 3×2 46-inch video wall comprising extremely narrow bezel LCDs, driven by a Lucidity WBC70 video wall controller.
A Lucidity 7-inch desk touch panel also provides fast and easy launching of video wall layouts during client demonstrations.
UVS managing director Steve Murphy said: “The newly-installed system demonstrates the detailed integration between the Synergy platform and UVS Lucidity video wall controller technology, for displaying multiple IP camera streams, key workstation application data, website and URL data, such as key dashboards, message box data and information from remote workstations and virtual machines.”
Synectics’ global business strategy director David Aindow said: “UVS and Synectics have completed a wide range of security control room installations, in sectors including public space, government high security facilities and high security prisons. Both companies are also involved in numerous upgrades of existing client installations.
“The original demonstration facility was installed in 2013 and it is a testament to the quality of the solution that it was still operational until the recent decommissioning.”
