Utter Creatives sponsors new Charity Team Reece, by creating its Brand identity.
New charity Team Reece was setup after local boy Reece Holt collapsed at home without warning. He was rushed to Lancaster’s A&E department where an urgent CT scan showed a bleed on his brain by which time he was no longer able to breathe for himself. This caused Reece to be intubated and transferred to Alder Hey intensive care. A few hours later on full life support, the pressure from the bleed became critical and Reece was taken into emergency surgery where it was discovered he had an Anaplastic Astrocytoma; an extremely rare malignant tumour that affects only about 10 children a year.
Due to this Reece wanted to raise as much money as he could for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Clatterbridge Cancer Centre to return some of the support, care and help they have given him on his journey, so far. From this Team Reece was created and is now a registered charity. Utter Creatives offered their design services to Team Reece after hearing of Reece’s story and that Team Reece were also on the lookout for a new logo. Utter Creatives took a drawing that Reece had done of a Astrocytoma cell and turned it into the characters for the new brand. The goal of the brand if to spread awareness of child cancer, with Team Reece creating the hashtag #trashthetumor
