Lancashire PR agency Viva has been shortlisted twice at the upcoming PRmoment Awards North.
The agency’s work with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) – which saw the team achieve a huge increase in applications for officer roles at the force – is shortlisted in the Best Use of Planning, Strategy and Evaluation category.
Ben Ashworth, GMP’s head of campaigns and engagement, said: “Our 2022 recruitment campaign was the most successful campaign that GMP has run in many years – the collaborative work between our Corporate Communications & Engagement Branch and Viva was crucial to achieving this.
“Ultimately the success of the campaign will be felt by the entire population of Greater Manchester, and this couldn’t have happened without the efforts of the team delivering the campaign.”
Viva is shortlisted in the Boutique Agency of the Year category for the fourth year in a row.
Tony Garner, Viva’s founder and MD, said: “The PRmoment awards cover the whole of the North, so just being shortlisted means a great deal to us as an agency. I’ll never stop being proud of this team – being recognised by our industry peers, and seeing our great work listed as a candidate for a PR accolade, is a fantastic reward in itself.
“The recruitment campaign for GMP was a monumental task for our team – the force needed to recruit 1,300 officers to meet their uplift target before the end of 2022, and were under incredible pressure from the Home Office to make sure this happened.
“We were brought on board to drastically increase application numbers – within the first seven weeks of the campaign alone, the average number of applications almost trebled when compared to figures from the seven weeks before.”
The winners will be revealed at a live ceremony at Hilton Deansgate, Manchester, on Tuesday 25th April.
