Trest secures exclusive deal for waste management vehicle

Leyland-based Trest has secured the exclusive UK rights for a new type of waste management vehicle which the company founder helped develop.

The OMB Legend is a new type of rear-loader compactor produced by Italian firm OMB Technology.

Robert Davidson, who founded Trest, helped design the vehicle, advising on modifications and adaptations for the UK market.

Now, holding exclusive UK rights and with the first shipment of vehicles set to hit these shores within the coming months, Trest will be able to market the vehicle to councils and waste management companies throughout the country.

Robert said: "It’s a very significant step change for Trest. We’ve been working hard since January 2022 to establish the brand across the UK and have already supplied many councils and private companies with used, refurbished and hire vehicles to meet their demand.

"The Legend gives us a niche for a new vehicle sales that I’ve personally helped to modify for the UK market."
