String Computer Systems along with Whitehead & Howarth Chartered Accountants were delighted to hand over a cheque to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation recently after a series of accountancy software training courses were held for their clients.
The IT and accountancy firms teamed up to run a series of Sage software training courses at the String offices on Preston Docks. The tutorials were pitched at basic to advanced levels, aimed at improving knowledge from interactive training sessions and asked delegates to donate there attendance fee to the Rosemere Cancer Clinic. All proceeds raised will go towards Rosemere’s Appeal, which is this year aiming to raise £50,000 to fund vital research and care for cancer patients across Lancashire and the South Lakes.
Steve Pickering of String Computer Systems said: "It was fantastic to hand over a cheque to the Cancer Clinic at Royal Preston Hospital with Whitehead & Howarth Chartered Accountants. Our mutual clients raised £775 from the recent Workshops and the main thanks should go them for attending and giving so generously."Gareth Maddock, partner of Lytham St Annes based Chartered Accountants Whitehead & Howarth added: "The feedback we received from the attendees was extremely positive as they gained valuable insight into using the product and getting a better understanding of how their business is performing. In fact the courses proved so popular, we aim to put on more workshops for all the delegates who couldn't make it to these courses, so hopefully we can raise even more for charity in 2015."
