Training 2000 is one of a handful training providers in Lancashire to be awarded a prestigious accreditation to deliver the NEBOSH National Diploma - a globally recognised health and safety qualification.
Only a small number of training providers in the UK are accredited to provide the 36 week Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.Aimed at aspiring health and safety professionals, the course builds on the foundations of already acquired knowledge and experience and acts as a sound basis for career progression or postgraduate study.
At the end of the diploma, after completing practical and classroom-based learning, the candidate will be able to fulfill the role of a competent health and safety advisor. With more than 15 years’ experience working in the health and safety sector, including previous projects with the Royal Air Force, health and safety trainer Charlie Attwood will be delivering sessions at Training 2000’s sites.
“We are delighted that we have been awarded this prestigious accreditation, and I’m really looking forward to starting the training course in the Spring.” he said. Charlotte Douglas, business leader of the commercial team delivering health and safety training, said: “The NEBOSH National Diploma is the flagship NEBOSH award and is the first UK vocational qualification to be developed specifically for health and safety professionals. It is fantastic that we will be able to help individuals to gain the qualifications they need to broaden their horizons.”
