Blackburn-based Training 2000 has announced a series of senior appointments to bolster its board and senior management team.
The training provider has welcomed Steve Rumbelow, chief executive at Burnley Borough Council to its board following an Annual General Meeting (AGM). He joins recently appointed Oliver McCann from Napthens LLP and Tim Webber, Barnfield Construction.
The AGM also saw vice chair, Steve Collier, head of business development at Cobham Defence, promoted to chairman.
The new addition increases the training provider’s board members to 11.
Steve Rumbelow, who has been appointed as vice chair of the Training 2000 board, has worked in local government for 34 years and was previously director of housing at Manchester City Council before taking up the post of chief executive at Burnley Borough Council in July 2006.
Steve Collier, who has worked for the technology communications specialist for eight years, previously held the position of business manager at Royal Ordnance Blackburn.
These appointments follow the recent recruitment of Alan Hood who joined the training provider in March as chief operating officer.
Alan, who sat on Training 2000’s board for four years, has more than 30 years’ experience in manufacturing internationally in the automotive, industrial and aerospace markets and will be responsible for shaping, organising and driving the business.
Speaking of the appointments, Steve Gray, chief executive at Training 2000, said: “I welcome these new team members to their positions. They each bring with them a wealth of experience in their own fields and I look forward to benefiting from their knowledge and perspectives in order to drive the business forward.”
