When a business brings in a family member to do a job that doesn't really exist it creates problems with your staff.Have a clear target structure with clear job descriptions written. This will ensure you only recruit family members that fit the needs of the business - and not because your nephew needs a job.
2. Favouritism
When employees perceive that family members are treated more favourably, you allow double standards to develop which is the quickest way to increase your employee turnover and reduce your credibility.Be consistent managing standards of conduct. Having non-family members on your management team will help to achieve balance.3. Family Feuds
Deeper tensions amongst the family can easily leak into the workplace.Employees sense this tension which impacts on engagement, productivity and the culture of your business. Address family tensions head on, get to the root cause with the help of a trusted facilitator.
