Social media giant TikTok recruited CIPS Business Training, part of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, to provide training sessions to its procurement team.
Members of the Chamber team travelled to London to present to 30 employees of TikTok, currently one of the fastest-growing platforms in the world with over one billion users.
The subject matter discussed included ethical and responsible sourcing, category management, and five topical critical areas to the future of procurement development.
Chamber Business Training is a Centre of Excellence for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). It has also been recognised by the British Chambers of Commerce as the largest business training chamber in the UK for another year.
Christine Lambe, training director for the Chamber, said; “It was a great honour to win this business and we were extremely proud to have the opportunity to work with TikTok and their procurement team.
“Our procurement short courses are highly sought after and I think our clients really like the way we conduct ourselves and do business. We have an absolutely brilliant CIPS training team and we have very high aspirations to develop a Training Academy at the Chamber in the next couple of years.”
