Jak Spedding, the Blackburn-based commercial photographer, has met with Theo Paphitis after the Dragons Den star selected his business for special praise.
Theo runs a weekly competition in which small business owners are invited to pitch to him in a single tweet with the #SBS hashtag. Six winners are chosen out of thousands of entries who are then retweeted and featured on the Small Business Sunday website.
When Jak’s interiors and architecture photography firm was chosen to be featured, he was invited to a winners event held at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.
Jak said: “Social media is an integral part of any business’s marketing strategy and so I was pleased to be recognised by the Small Business Sunday campaign and have the chance to meet Theo Paphitis, as well as fellow small business owners.
“Since setting up my business three years ago I’ve been fortunate enough to work with the likes of Mercedes Benz, Man United, The Ivy and the Four Seasons, so I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Speaking about the Small Business Sunday campaign, Theo Paphitis said: “I know I have been lucky in business and I am keen now to spread goodwill to others, of course not forgetting that very often, you make your own luck by making use of every opportunity."
