Forbes Solicitors has further strengthened its position in the housing sector with the award of a four-year framework appointment by Regenda. The Framework will also be accessible by other registered providers of social housing, local authorities, NHS trusts, NHS clinical commissioning groups, NHS area teams and NHS special health authorities.
The contract follows a competitive tender and means the law firm will provide legal services on a framework, covering matters relating to: Corporate, Governance, Financial & Securitisation; Housing Management & Commercial; Property, Development & Construction and HR.
Formed in 2001, Regenda owns or manages around 13,000 properties in the North West, and regenerates places by providing affordable housing, as well as broader housing and construction, care, support and training to help employment.
Daniel Milnes, governance and information law partner at Forbes Solicitors, said: “As a dynamic group of eight organisations, Regenda regenerates places and works with people to create opportunities for communities to thrive. Our extensive experience in the housing sector, which spans a range of legal specialisms, will prove key in supporting Regenda in fulfilling its mission.”
Forbes will provide legal services via Regenda’s framework from September 2020 for four years. Forbes was recently appointed to the Central Housing Investment Consortium Ltd (“CHIC”) framework – a not for profit organisation representing social landlords nationwide – and also acts for other large registered providers of social housing and local authorities throughout the UK.
