The Lancashire Business Expo, to be hosted at the Guild Hall in Preston on Friday 17th April, has well over 2,000 visitors registered and exhibition space is at full capacity with 150 stands confirmed and many businesses on the waiting list hoping they can somehow squeeze in.
The event has gained such momentum that it continues to attract new partners, the latest being Marketing Lancashire, who will be speaking at the event to highlight the features that attract investment into the area to benefit both businesses and consumers.Communication is key to the success of this event and various facilities will be put in place to ensure this is maximised.
One aspect will be a tweet wall, which will be installed on the stage of the main Guild Hall where attendees can use a unique hashtag to communicate with each other. This will allow exhibitors to attract more visitors to their stand and promote special offers and competitions. The tweet wall won’t, however, be exclusively for exhibitors, visitors will also be able to benefit from the exposure the wall will provide and communicate with colleagues, exhibitors and other attendees during the day.To further enhance communication for everyone, the organisers have arranged free Wi-Fi at the venue during the course of the event. This will enable businesses to quickly and easily communicate with colleagues and their office base if required.
Key organiser of the event, Ian Coupe from the Shout Network commented, “We’ve been genuinely overwhelmed by the response to the expo and truly believe this will be the biggest business event to hit Lancashire in years. It’s a fantastic opportunity for organisations to network and promote their products and services in a vibrant and professional environment. We want this to become Lancashire’s annual business event and have already set a date for next year’s Lancashire Business Expo, which we will announce at this year’s event.”As well as meeting exhibitors and networking, visitors will also have the opportunity to attend numerous seminars during the day with presentations from key Lancashire organisations such as Preston’s College, Preston City Council, Boost and Marketing Lancashire. One key practicality the organisers have paid particular attention to is the catering! A food court will be set up in the Guild Hall foyer serving a wide selection of food and drinks to visitors, with plenty of seating areas for them have meetings. Exhibitors will be provided with food and drinks throughout the day allowing them to remain at their stands and promote their products and services to all the visitors.
