There are now just eight days until the Red Rose Awards returns to the Winter Gardens in Blackpool after an extended 20-month break.
And the black-tie awards ceremony, postponed from its usual date in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, is set to be the biggest in its 11-year history, with 1,200 ticket-holders eagerly awaiting the night.
The return of the ceremony also brings new branding, new categories and a new charity partner. There are 22 trophies to be handed out on the night, representing a full spectrum of size, sector and experience, with special awards available for achievements in resilience, customer service and green initiatives.
The event will also raise funds for the Community Foundation for Lancashire which, through its Red Rose Response Fund, continues to support health and wellbeing projects across the county for those still struggling with the effects of the pandemic.
The core ethos of the event remains the same, however: celebrating the best of Lancashire businesses, in the company of great Lancashire folk, with top quality Lancashire food, drink and entertainment.
Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View and founder of the awards, said: “These may be the most hotly anticipated Red Rose Awards in our history. We know that the last couple of years has been incredibly difficult for us all, and that has made the achievements of each of our finalists all the more incredible and inspirational.
“It’s been too long since we were all able to gather together in the same room and celebrate hard work, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. It’s clear that the business community is ready for this night - we’ve issued more tickets than ever before and even had to open up new areas to accommodate everybody. It’s very exciting, and it’s all just eight days away. We can’t wait!”
On Thursday 25 November, the winners for this year’s Red Rose Awards will be announced at Winter Gardens, Blackpool. For more details, visit www.redroseawards.co.uk
