ICG has marked its 30th anniversary with the launch of a new staff awards known as The Barnies.
From the Best Baker to the Best Storyteller, a series of 12 categories were created to pay tribute to the quirks and personalities of the ICG strategic marketing team.
The name ‘The Barnies’ was coined in recognition of the agency's location - the ICG studio is a converted barn which features a barn owl figure tucked away just below the roof.
The winners included Snazziest Sneaks Award: Stephen Taylor; Spreadsheet King/Queen Award, Dave Mallalieu; Food Envy Award, Sarah Huddy; Most Active Award, Sam Sharples, Best Storyteller Award, Erin Walker, Puntastic Award, Erin Walker; Music Mogul Award, Doug Mouncey, Questionable Parking Award, Simon Couchman; Best Brew Maker Award, Matthew Holmes, Heard That from a Mile Away Award, Paula Holden; Hollywood Handshake Award, Nicola Chew; Ray of Sunshine Award, Bekki Williams.
The winners received a golden feather pin from Macmillan Cancer Support.
The profits from the gold feather pins go towards providing physical, financial and emotional aid for people with cancer, helping them live comfortable lives.
Simon Couchman, managing director of ICG, said: “The Barnies were great fun! There were lots of laughs and it was a great way to celebrate 30 years of ICG. It’s a new tradition for ICG - we’re now looking forward to The Barnies 2025.”
