In 2014, Preston based financial advisors Taylor Patterson chose to help East Lancashire Hospice. Through a busy 12 months of fund raising, they are pleased to announce a grand total of £6,827.05 has been raised.
For 30 years East Lancashire Hospice has continuously provided a special way of caring to people suffering from life limiting illnesses throughout Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley and relies on donations and fundraising activities to keep providing such a caring service.Keith Pressler, director at Taylor Patterson, said: “Each year Taylor Patterson chooses a local charity to donate their annual fund raising activities to. We are delighted to raise such a fantastic amount for such a superb cause. Our target for the year was to reach £6000 and I am grateful to all Taylor Patterson staff, clients and other professional contacts that have supported our fund raising activities in 2014 to help us achieve this.”
Through a busy 12 months of fund raising, ranging from cake bakes, raffles, completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to the increasingly popular annual charity quiz, the team, the clients and other professionals who have got involved, have worked hard to beat their 2014 fundraising target.Sharon Crymble, fundraising and lottery manager, said: “Our patients and their families tell us that the service that we provide is one that is priceless, but as a local charity, it costs £3m each year to offer a special way of caring.
"We could not make this difference without the help and support of local people and business’s, and we are extremely grateful to Taylor Patterson for choosing East Lancashire Hospice as their charity to raise funds for during 2014."Everyone has been great sports and it’s been great to hear of the fundraising activities that were held and participated in to raise £6,827 that will go a long way to ensuring we can provide the care that makes such a difference at a time when it is needed.
