A Swiss investment fund has handed £5m to Airis Energy Solutions which will see the Poulton-le-Fylde business create ten jobs over the next three years.
Susi Partners manages The Susi Energy Efficiency Fund (SEEF II) which was launched to help private businesses adopt new technologies that focus on the objectives of the Paris Climate Agreement.
Airis employs over 20 managers, administrators, installers and engineers who work with UK businesses, schools and hospitals to install high performance LED lighting, electric vehicle charging points, solar carports and more.
The company blends the latest technology to deliver energy efficiency projects that reduce carbon emissions.
Damien Fryer, Airis managing director, said: "The funding package is great news. It represents a significant endorsement of our approach and achievements so far. It also acknowledges our potential for an exciting future.
"A lot hinges on our ability to offer a wide range of green energy solutions on a unique zero capital expenditure basis. That makes a massive difference to the savings we pass on to clients. Now, thanks to this new funding package, even more UK businesses, schools and hospitals than ever before will become energy efficient at a lower cost.”
The transaction was supported by the law firm Eversheds Sutherland.
