Swansway Motor Group’s annual Spring patrol in previous years has seen the group donate thousands of Easter Eggs to those who may not have had any celebratory fare over the Easter Weekend. This year saw Swansway take a refreshed and more considered approach to their Easter donation efforts. Recognising that the increase in the cost of living has affected many people, Swansway worked closely with its long-standing charity partners including The Wish Centre in Blackburn and The Foxton Centre in Preston to donate items that the organisations were in desperate need of. This ranged from cooking equipment to bedding donations and in the case of The Wish Centre, a food donation and for The Foxton Centre, Easter eggs. It was important to Swansway Motor Group that their donations not only spread joy to families but supported them in the best way that they could.
Swansway Motor Group director David Smyth commented: “We are dedicated to giving back to the communities that have continued to support us. We all know that this year, the need for family support has never been higher and we are delighted to be able to donate items that would help our chosen charities in their mission to support children and families in need.
"It’s our gift from the Swansway families to those families in need. And hopefully, if there are other businesses that are in a position to do so, they will be encouraged to do the same.”
