Leyland-based Supertex Furnishing has been acquired for £1.3m by the Headlam Group, an international distributor of floorcoverings.
Supertex supplies carpets and carpet tiles as well as vinyl flooring, artificial grass and accessories to retailers across the north and Midlands. It distributes cut-length orders from stock on a next-day delivery service.
The company was founded in 1978 by chairman Brian Boocock, whose son Haydn is the managing director and daughter Samantha works in a sales role.
