Themis, the award winning business training and apprenticeship division of Burnley College, has expanded its team with the appointment of three new members of staff; Stephanie Coleman as sales and recruitment manager, Laura Norfolk as marketing executive and Katie Taylor as digital marketing executive.
Stephanie has worked in the training industry for the past seven years and is passionate about the development of young people. She strongly believes in the Apprenticeship route as a way for young people to kick start their careers and determine which way they will take their futures.Stephanie’s appointment will allow Themis to continue in its programme of building and maintaining close links with local employers and further develop the organisation’s business solutions to support employers in achieving their objectives.
Laura joins the Themis team from Nelson based telecoms provider Daisy Group and brings with her nine years of experience working in sales and marketing disciplines. Her enthusiasm for developing new marketing ideas and strategies, as well as her experience in the private sector provides Themis with an opportunity to develop some new approaches to engaging with Apprentices and employers alike.Katie joins the team from Friday Media Group, she previously worked in the music and entertainment industries as a self-employed promoter, using digital and social media methods to reach wide audiences from across the globe. She is also a qualified journalist and has worked freelance as a copywriter and proof-reader since graduating from Leeds University in 2010.
Katie’s appointment marks a decision by Themis to further embrace the use of digital techniques in order to interact with its apprentices and employers in ways that are most convenient to them. Investment in this type of communication will continue to be expanded upon over the coming months and years.Since its initial launch in November 2012, Themis has gone from strength to strength within the business training and Apprenticeship market sectors, and is now one of the largest Apprenticeship providers within Lancashire whilst expanding its business training client base nationwide.
