The Lancashire Business View Sub36 Awards, in association with Positive Pennine, which celebrate the most exciting talent emerging from the Lancashire business community, will take place online this year with a not-to-be-missed virtual event.
Dedicated to employees, entrepreneurs and business owners aged under 36, the Sub36 calendar of events has become known for its fun and informal appeal, with the annual awards ceremony becoming a must-attend celebration.
This same enthusiasm and energy will be carried forward to its temporary home online for both the judging and awards ceremony, a switch which has been made in light of the coronavirus pandemic. The awards will still feature a nominations process overseen by an expert panel of judges, trophies for the cream of the crop in each of the 14 categories, and a fun-filled prize-giving ceremony with a twist.
Following the success of the awards in recent years a number of new categories have been added to meet demand including the Made in Lancashire Award, Go Green, Award and a new category for businesses to enter – Commitment to Skills Award.
Lancashire Business View will also shine a light on those that have risen to the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic with a special Sub36 Hero Award.
Winners of the awards will gain access to an expanded support package with bespoke mentoring delivered by Northern Mentoring Programme, sales support with Sales Geek and funding and growth support via Rosebud, the official funding partner, which is new for 2020.
Sub36 founder and publisher of Lancashire Business View magazine, Richard Slater said: “As much as we miss face-to-face networking with the fantastic people of Lancashire, we simply couldn’t predict the situation come September and October in bringing guests together in a safe environment at a event of this nature. But, even in these times, there is still so much to celebrate, which is why the show must go on - and we are already full of ideas that are going to make this an online event like no other.
“If anything, the format may allow more people than ever to join in the festivities and this could be the largest live audience ever for the Sub36 Awards. The response from our sponsors and partners has been wholly supportive and the whole team is looking forward to putting on a show to be remembered.”
The closing date for entries to the Sub36 Awards is Friday, August 28 and the ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 22. More details about the online event and how to register to attend will be shared soon.
