The request follows a public consultation, which took place in September.
The development will consist of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. The plans also include large areas of open space with dedicated play equipment.
As part of the development, Story Homes will contribute around £290,000 towards education and a travel plan as well as an onsite play area. The scheme will also generate a Community Infrastructure Levy payment of circa £970,000 which the council can use to fund infrastructure projects which support local communities.
The house builder will use local sub contractors and suppliers where possible, delivering economic benefits and job creation back into the local area. Siobhan Sweeney, planning manager at Story Homes, said: “We are renowned for designing high quality homes throughout the North West and for our striking street scenes on our developments. In the design of our proposal we have paid careful attention to the local area’s use of material and this will be highly visible when travelling around the development.”
