Lancashire’s premier business publication is set to honour the county’s business personality of the year 2024.
The clock is ticking down until Lancashire Business View shines the spotlight on the county as part of Lancashire Business Day.
The event has been taking place since 2017 and this time it is on November 22 at Blackburn Rovers FC.
Among the confirmed main speakers include Dave Walker from event sponsor Plus24; Margaret Speight, creative director from North Star Projects and Rachael Wood, founder of British Jewellery School.
Also taking centre stage will be Colin Mustoe, founder of Senator Group and over of Mytton Fold Hotel, Amanda Parker from Browsholme Hall and HM Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, Andrew Buchanan from Thwaites Brewery and Gill Hall from Butlers Farmhouse Cheese.
Lytham town crier Kila Redfearn will deliver the Lancashire proclamation.
The proclamation dates back to the 17th century when first elected representatives from Lancashire were called to Westminster by King Edward I to attend what later became known as "The Model Parliament".
One of the highlights of the event is announcing the Lancashire Business Personality of the Year award. Previously the award went to Sandra Cottom Shea, managing director of SCS Logistics and Amanda Meachin, CEO of Community & Business Partners.
Lancashire Business View chairman Richard Slater said: “Lancashire has some great businesses flying the flag locally, nationally and globally and we have amazing business personalities who are leading the way and spearheading the success.”
Dave Walker, managing director, from headline sponsors Plus24, said: “We are excited to be supporting Lancashire Business Day.
“There is a fantastic lineup of speakers and I am looking forward to talking and listening to some of the conversations about the county and celebrate Lancashire businesses.”
The deadline for nominations for the award is November 12 and you can send your entry via email to [email protected].
