Lancaster-based SQ Digital has won the contract to build a new website for Bath House, the artisan perfume and skincare company.
The ecommerce website, due to launch later this year, will enable Bath House to operate a loyalty scheme, a subscription service for the hospitality sector and to offer add-ons, such as personalised greetings cards, samples and gift bags.
Bath House was founded in 1997 and now has seven own-brand stores in Cumbria, Yorkshire and Cheshire. Its bath, skincare and home products are also available in outlets all over the UK. Although its stores have been closed temporarily during the lockdown, online sales have seen a significant increase, which has underlined the need for a new website.
Richard McGowan, SQ Digital’s head of design and development, said that he particularly wanted to capture the love and care that goes into the products and to evoke the feeling of the Bath House stores.
He said: “Our aim is to communicate what’s special about the Bath House brand, its ethos and its commitment to sustainability. The website will combine an eye-catching, bespoke design in Bath House’s style with advanced functionality."
