Blackburn-based SportsCool, which delivers sports-based educational activities for schools, is set to double its workforce over the next year as it continues to expand across the UK.
SportsCool currently works with more than 400 education providers and has over 100 people working within its organisation. Its plans for 2023 look to create another 150 or more jobs as it looks to add to the 28 operations it runs around the country.
Lee Lysons, SportsCool director, said: "We’re always looking for more fun activities to offer and encourage children. Using UV equipment, we’ve been able to create these amazing Dodgeball sessions. They have become massively popular, children, parents and teachers just love them, and they are great to take part in and to watch."
In 2022 SportsCool opened new branches in the South East of England, the Midlands and Wales. Lee says that expansion will continue over the next 12 months, with a target to create at least 150 new jobs.
SportsCool’s work supporting the government-funded Holiday Activities and Food programme, through its delivery of holiday clubs for local authorities, also continues to grow. Its summer sessions last year were enjoyed by almost 10,000 children.
