Spencer Hayes Group successfully hosted their first seminar at Turf Moor, home of Burnley Football Club. The Wellbeing in the Workplace seminar took place on Monday 11th February 2019 was to offer a wide range of information and advice to local businesses and groups, offering an insight in to both basic and advanced health and wellbeing within the workplace.
On the day, they had speakers from three different companies all offering a wide range of useful help and advice.
Katherine Stybelski and Emma Dickinson from the British Heart Foundation were the first speakers, offering in-depth CPR demonstrations and training – a lifesaving skill we all should have knowledge of. This training offered a hand’s on experience, and was very well received by everyone who attended.
This was followed by a talk from Phil Snell – a health and safety consultant from Spencer Hayes Groups Risk Management division. Phil gave an insight into where health and safety is going and what health and safety changes we can expect in the future.
Paul Howarth from PH7 Wellbeing then spoke about Mental Health in the workplace, followed by Rebecca Jane, also from PH7 Wellbeing, who gave a speech about their charity, PH7 LIFE. The charity has been created as a non-profit organisation that will innovatively run 4 and 8 week courses specifically working with people who are suffering from depression.
They will integrate Psychotherapy & Counselling with Holistic Therapy and Group Therapy, with workshops 3 days per week to support and enable people to find the lost connection within. This will assist them in moving away from past torment into a meaningful life.
At the end of the seminar, Paul Walsh, Club Membership Manager offered a complimentary tour of Turf Moor, for everyone who wished to take part.
The seminar was extremely well received and will be the first of many; some of the attendee’s were:
“Spot on, I look forward to hearing from you in the future and will be talking about my experience with all I meet.”
“A huge thank you to Marc Kirker and the Spencer Hayes Group for inviting me to their Wellbeing in the Workplace seminar at Turf Moor this morning.”
“Thanks to Spencer Hayes for holding a great event at Turf Moor.”
“Thank you for the invite last week. I thought it was very enjoyable and informative.”
