In the past 12 months, Spencer Hayes Group has faced many fundraising challenges to raise money for three charities close to their hearts, Pendleside Hospice, Manchester Mind and Cancer Research UK.
Spencer Hayes Group, an award-winning independent commercial insurance brokerage based in Rawtenstall, approaches insurance differently. Equipped with risk solutions to make businesses more resilient against loss, as well as creating bespoke insurance solutions for each and every one of their clients to suit their needs.
The team at Spencer Hayes Group set the goal to raise £1,000 initially, once smashing that target they decided to aim for £2,000.
Here is what the team achieved:
Marc Kirker completed the Pendle Pub Walk. Dan & Rebecca Page completed the Shine Night Walk in Manchester. Marc & Kelly Kirker completed the Pendleside Firewalk. Marc Kirker, Paul Bentley, Dan Page, Eddie Drinkwater, Emma Booth and Phoebe Wright completed Velocity 2. You can watch the video here! Eddie Drinkwater dyed his beard grey. In this bitter-sweet event, Eddie Drinkwater, the claims manager at Spencer Hayes Group, had been supporting this client throughout this unfortunate event. During fundraising, Spencer Hayes Group reported that their client’s claim had progressed significantly and was close to completion.
To make the story even sweeter, their client had been awarded compensation from the insurer due to the delay and distress caused. Their client donated every penny of their compensation to Cancer Research UK to support the company’s fundraising and a wonderful charity.
After hitting the £2,000 goal, Spencer Hayes Group decided to donate £1,000 to take up the total to £3,000, ensuring each charity received £1,000 each.
