Preston based recruitment agency Spencer Clarke Group is known for its fun and creative ways to raise money for charity.
For this year’s Children In Need, eight members of the team were challenged to take on a TV classic and recreate The Weakest Link.
Marketing executive Debbie Holden made sure the recruitment agency's version of the hit quiz show was just like the original and appointed managing consultant Richard Shorrock as the legendary Anne Robinson.
With the contestants ready in their Pudsey ears and Richard channelling his inner quiz show host (Anne isn’t the only host he has up his sleeve, he recently performed his best Noel Edmonds for a game of Deal Or No Deal too), the game was away.
Questions such as ‘How many pockets are on a snooker table?’ and ‘In the Dr Seuss series, who stole Christmas?’ were no match for the contestants.
After six rounds of challenging questions and tactical vote-offs, the team were down to the final two players, Ellie and Gary.
Despite Gary’s knowledge of the Kardashian family paying off (either that or it was just a lucky guess), a tense head to head saw Ellie Cutts, the agency's office administrator, crowned as the Strongest Link.
During the game, the team at Spencer Clarke Group successfully banked £86 for Children In Need, which contributed towards the overall total of £39m raised during the 2021 event.
