Preston-based recruitment agency, Spencer Clarke Group has raised a brilliant £250 for a palliative care unit in Walsall.
The money has been collected by staff members through their office tuck shop which sells sweets, crisps, chocolate and soft drinks.
The palliative care unit will receive the donation to thank them, after they cared for the relative of a consultant from Spencer Clarke Group a few years ago.
The centre, based on Goscote Lane in Walsall, delivers high quality care for local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses, whilst also offering support to their families and carers.
It is home to a number of facilities provided by the NHS, including a specialist day hospice facility, benefits advice, specialist lymphoedema services and specialist therapies teams.
The unit will be able to spend the money on anything they need which isn’t funded by the government.
Spencer Clarke Group also sent a hamper of treats to the staff to say thank you for their continued hard work and dedication.
“We really want to donate the money we raise from our Tuck Shop to a worthy cause and I think the Palliative care unit is a great recipient for it. We want to show our appreciation to the staff for all the hard work they do day in, day out,” said managing director, Mike Shorrock.
