Staff at SPAR have been spreading Christmas cheer at their north of England depot, whilst raising vital funds for end of life care charity, Marie Curie.
Determined to celebrate Christmas 2020 and bring staff together despite many working from home, in bubbles or newly implemented rotas, the company has launched a variety of virtual FUNdraising activities including the 2020 SPAR dance challenge. Watch their fun festive video guaranteed to make you smile here:
Peter Dodding, sales and marketing director at James Hall & Co., SPAR wholesaler for the north of England, said “This year has certainly been a difficult one and SPAR staff have worked above and beyond to keep essential services going.
“We have so many different roles within the company and staff are located across the north of England, in SPAR stores, production and warehouse facilities, on the road or working from home. Our virtual Christmas fundraiser aims to bring everyone together and celebrate the fantastic teamwork staff have demonstrated over such a challenging year.”
Peter added, “SPAR are proud partners of Marie Curie and the amazing work their community nurses deliver across the UK. Alongside this virtual festive fundraiser, we have also launched an initiative to deliver vital PPE to community nurses working in the north of England, and also give automatic product donations throughout the year from the sale of every SPAR sandwich sold in-store.
“Marie Curie’s services have never been more in demand so please visit our JustGiving page and give what you can.”
Staff at James Hall & Co. will be taking part in a virtual Christmas Jumper Day, Mince Pie Friday, Christmas Raffle and of course the #SPARDance2020 challenge.
