Burnley-based Birchall Foodservice has commissioned a fleet of 33 vehicles from Solomon Commercials of Haslingden.
The food wholesaler took delivery of seven MAN TGM 18t vehicles in June last year and has now placed an order for more.
In January, Solomon Commercials supplied Birchall’s with two MAN TGE 3.5t Slipstream side bodies which have been built bespoke to the food wholesaler’s requirements, but the order will see an additional 20 MAN TGM 18t full Slipstream Multi-Temperature trucks, six MAN TGE 3.5t featuring the Slipstream side entry bodies and five of the MAN TGL 12t vehicles by June.
Justin Birchall, managing director of Birchall Foodservice said: "A progressive business such as ours needs to ensure our fleet performs well while having the optimum capacity and minimising environmental impact through using innovative aerodynamic bodies.
"We have a long-stand working relationship with Solomons, and they understand perfectly what we need to ensure our food products get from A to B in perfect condition. They’re an important partner in making sure our customer gets the best service.”
Anthony Clegg, sales director at Solomon Commercials, added; “Birchall Foodservice is a fantastic business and has an excellent reputation in the industry. We’re proud to work in partnership with them and that they rely on us to provide class-leading quality and efficient vehicles.
"Innovation is at the centre of what we do, and we enjoy working in partnership with clients to deliver a vehicle that’s not only efficient but is also built to their specifications which helps them achieve their objectives."
