Slater Gordon, which is currently based at Indemnity House in Squires Gate, will move to the 125,000 sq ft Bickerstaffe House, where the council is based. It will move 230 staff across, taking on the entire first floor.
The company also announced plans to add a further 70 staff, and take its total workforce to 400 by 2020.The report put to the executive said: "This proposal will dramatically increase the local town centre economy, directly bringing jobs into the town, supporting the council’s town centre regeneration plans.” Slater Gordon handles all aspects of motor insurance claims. The company was founded in Bispham in 1991, when it employed just six staff. Following significant growth, the company floated on the AIM in 1999.
