Skiddle, the UK’s leading independent event ticketing platform, has announced the release of its latest feature, Session-Based Ticketing.

Now available for free in the Skiddle Promotion Centre, the innovative tool has been designed to allow event organisers to create and sell tickets for events that require multiple timed sessions or entry times, with intervals of either 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour.

Ideal for organisers of events such as theatre performances, exhibitions, fairgrounds or scare attractions, Session-Based Ticketing helps to maximise the capacity of a venue, increasing the number of tickets available with each session. It also offers customers the flexibility to choose an entry time which suits them, helping to manage crowds, cut down on queue times, and reduce no-shows—all while increasing the profitability of the event.

What’s more, organisers promoting repeating events can integrate Skiddle’s recently unveiled Event Series feature with Session-Based Ticketing, to create recurring dates with tickets for multiple timed sessions quickly and with ease.

Editing Session-Based Tickets created in the Promotion Centre is also a walk in the park. A bespoke calendar view means event organisers using the platform can edit existing sessions individually or in bulk, hide or remove sessions completely, and view a breakdown of sales for each session.

Find the key benefits of Session-Based Ticketing below:

  • Optimised Venue Capacity: By assigning specific entry times, organisers can maximise the capacity of their venue, increasing ticket sales and overall profitability.
  • Reduced No-Shows: With designated entry times, attendees are more likely to show up on time, reducing the likelihood of no-shows and improving overall event attendance.
  • Streamlined Operations: Easily manage and adjust session times and capacities through our user-friendly Sessions Calendar, ensuring smooth event operations.
  • Enhanced Attendee Experience: By controlling entry times, event organisers can reduce queue times and ensure a more enjoyable experience for their guests.
  • Flexible Event Management: Event organisers can customise session intervals and capacities to fit their event's specific needs, offering a tailored experience for each session whilst providing flexibility to customers.
