The new offices will accommodate future growth, with another 10 per cent increase in the workforce projected for the next few years.
Features of the renovated Arthur House include a dedicated break-out floor with games, big screens and sofas, a roof terrace for summer BBQs and functions, eight meeting rooms, four kitchens, onsite parking and showers with locker areas to encourage staff to run or cycle to work. The 11,500 sq ft Victorian building, which dates back to 1844, is also now carbon positive. The company offsets 150 per cent of its carbon footprint through using eco-friendly solutions and reducing energy consumption. Solar panels are also due to be installed in 2019.
Richard Freye, who founded the company in 2005, said: "The reason for the expansion was simply because we ran out of room as our team expanded. Not only this, but we wanted to create a great environment for us to work (and play) in." The renovated offices were officially opened with a celebratory Bucks Fizz breakfast for the staff before Arthur, Richard's eight-year-old son after whom the building was renamed, cut the ribbon.
