Restaurateur-turned-lawyer Sarah Davis has been appointed to the family law team at Vincents Solicitors after qualifying as a solicitor.
She also volunteers at the Hope Centre, a domestic violence clinic in Preston, providing advice and undertaking legal work to gain injunctions for women and children at risk. Accredited by the Legal Aid Agency to attend police stations across Lancashire, Sarah will also act as on-call duty solicitor and provide legal advice to clients following arrest.
Prior to choosing a career in law, Sarah owned and ran a successful restaurant on the Fylde coast, Sassy’s in Cleveleys, for 10 years. After enjoying an A-Level law course at night school, Sarah decided to sell the business with the dream of pursuing a full time legal degree. After completing her course at the University of Central Lancashire in 2009, she was offered a training contact with Vincents.
“Sarah’s experience in running her own business gives her a good appreciation of the commercial elements of the job, and she has a real ability to deal with people in a friendly yet professional manner. She is a confident advocate and an excellent new addition to our team.”
