The trip was part of an effort to praise the five most disabled-friendly attractions in the UK. The Roman Baths in Bath, Mylor Sailing & Powerboat School in Cornwall, Cottage in the Dales in Newbiggin, and the Eureka! children’s museum in Halifax earned similar praise.

Jane Cole, managing director of Blackpool Transport and disability sector champion, said: “Blackpool is becoming one of the most accessible resorts in the UK for disabled people. We have invested £22m to ensure that our bus and tram system is fully accessible, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the sights and sounds of Blackpool.”
