Sales Geek, the renowned international franchise business delivering part-time sales director services and sales training, is delighted to announce its official patronage of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone.

Youth Zone is a vibrant and dynamic young person’s charity offering a wide range of activities and exciting opportunities for children and young people aged 8 to 19, (up to 25 for those with disabilities.)

With over 4,000 members, they work tirelessly to improve the life chances and prospects of local young people, preparing them for their life journey.

Sales Geek’s support will enable Youth Zone to continue to provide its valuable services for local young people. Over the past year alone, they have averaged 1,200 visits per week, hosting 15 and a half thousand young people. Fourty-four per cent of their members come from some of the most deprived areas of the local borough, highlighting the crucial role the Youth Zone plays in supporting vulnerable young people.

Youth Zone’s membership mirrors the diversity of the local borough and works hard to ensure that all voices are heard. They work closely with all statutory and non-statutory services to ensure that any safeguarding concerns are swiftly addressed, and young people are supported according to their needs.

Richard Few, CEO of Sales Geek, said of Youth Zone: “We are proud to join the Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone network. They do fantastic work in our community, and we look forward to supporting them in providing young people with a safe and inspiring place to go. Our partnership together will enable a positive difference in the lives of young people across the Blackburn with Darwen borough.”

Volunteering is a highly valued aspect of their service, with over 1,100 volunteering hours every month are donated by local people in support of their various programmes and activities. Their youth centres in Blackburn and Darwen are responsible for dispensing over 5,000 free hot and nutritious meals over the last 6 months, many designed and created by young people, for young people.

Youth Zone also provides much-needed support for young people struggling to find their way into education, employment or training. Their Youth Employability Hub has worked with over 400 young people over the last twelve months and is growing in influence and impact since its introduction in 2021.

Wayne Wild, Trustee of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sales Geek as a Patron of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone. Their commitment to investing in the future of our youth is truly commendable. With their expertise and resources, we believe Sales Geek will play a crucial role in empowering young individuals, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential. We look forward to a partnership that will make a lasting impact on the lives of the young people in our community.”
