Burnley-based Sales Geek has acquired Sales Guardian and taken on its founder, Tom Turner.
Both businesses help SMEs to improve sales with specialist expertise and training and offering business development support. Together, they can offer a broader set of services.
Richard Few, CEO and founder of Sales Geek, said: "I’m thrilled to acquire Sales Guardian and the expertise and energy they bring with them. Their CEO Tom Turner will be staying on as our business development geek, extending our service offer for North-West businesses.
"Sales Guardian is a natural fit as our first acquisition, they operate in the same space but offered a distinct product that dovetails nicely with Sales Geek."
Tom added: "I’m so excited to become part of the Sales Geek family. I will be bringing across Sales Guardian's existing clients and hopefully adding others very soon. Our goal is to not only extend Sales Geek's service offer but also for me to play a key role in the growth of the business as a whole. I’m very much looking forward to the challenge."
Sales Geek has also announced the appointment of James Denny, who joins the company as chief strategy geek and increases its capacity to deliver part-time sales director services.
Richard said: "The stars just aligned for us to be able to bring in someone of his calibre and experience. There aren’t many sales people around that fit the Sales Geek model and like Tom, James just carries our Geek DNA. He will be an instant asset to any business that needs to increase customers, revenue and profitability."
James added: "I am raring to go as their Chief Strategy Geek. I’ll be working with businesses of all sizes as an interim Sales Director using my 25 years experience to help them grow."
