Make Thursday 20th December a date in the diary for this festive cinema experience which looks to combine the ultimate feel-good film, Love Actually, with beverages, food, live singing and some surprises along the way.
Kicking off from 6pm guests will be greeted with complimentary Prosecco on arrival as Russell sets the scene with live hits from the Love Actually soundtrack, think The Calling to The Beach Boys, as well as classic Christmas songs from Mariah Carey and Michael Buble.Russell has previously sold out the Municipal Hall in his ‘Russel Shaun Is Coming Home’ gig and it is a venue he loves performing in, “It’s an event which I’m thoroughly looking forward to, and the interactive cinema is something I have done previously in London showing Love Actually. This one should be extra special for me as it is in my home town and a venue I have loved singing at. Plus, it’s always nice to be home around Christmas.”
Once comfortable in the relaxed cabaret seating you’ll be able to visit the bar and vendors throughout the screening, which begins promptly at 7pm.No movie would be complete without an abundance of snacks and treats. Push the popcorn to one side for the moment and make room for fresh pizza, gourmet burgers and pigs in blankets. On the sweet side choose from crepes and the ultimate pick ’n’ mix.
Hundreds are expected to attend the 11 square metre cinema screening which is sure to entertain way beyond the movie with Russell singing and DJ’ing until midnight, making for the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit before the big day.Tickets can be purchased online at wiseevents.co.uk for £13 each.
Love Actually originally hit theatres in 2003 and stole everyones hearts with multiple love stories in one star-studded film. The festive spirit builds throughout the movie as characters such as Hugh Grant’s The Prime Minister and Martine McCutcheon’s Natalie fall in love before an impressive finale to close the movie. The event comes from Wise Events following the success of its XLCR Fan Park this summer, which saw 2,500 England supporters come together to watch England play in the FIFA World Cup Semi Final at Colne Cricket Club. Director, Tom Shaw is looking forward to see how the event is received, “After the success of the Fan Park we understand that local people want the events that they see happening in the major cities around here. This is something new from the area and something we hope we can do more of.” Love Actually Live will be screened at the Colne Municipal on the Thursday 20th December Entry @ 6pm Screening starts @ 7pm Doors @ Midnight Tickets are on sale from £13 plus booking fee, visit www.wiseevents.co.uk to book Groups of 10+ welcome, please email [email protected]Enjoyed this?
