Rural homeowners urged to buy heating oil before the typical winter weather arrives

Heating oil users across Lancashire are being advised by the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers to purchase their fuel sooner rather than later and has recently launched its ‘Buy Oil Early Campaign’.

The campaign is urging the 1.5 million households who use heating oil across the UK to buy their oil now before adverse weather conditions begin to disrupt deliveries and subsequently affect prices. The campaign has been backed by Andrea Leadsom, the Minister of State at the Department of Energy, who recommends stocking up on winter supplies of oil whilst fuel distributors have the spare capacity for delivery.
