Roundhouse Properties has acquired a 3.5 acre site at Shadsworth in Blackburn to expand its Momentum business centre concept.
The Bamber Bridge property company acquired the land at Shadsworth Business Park with a view to building 68 units at a total of 46,100 sq ft of commercial space.
The development will become the fourth Momentum Business Centre delivered by Roundhouse, following sites in Buckshaw Village and Bamber Bridge, as well as a South Rings site currently under construction.
Jeremy Lefton, managing director, said: “Our Momentum business centres have proved to be very popular and we are looking to repeat this success at key sites around the North West. We look for locations that offer easy access to key motorway networks and Shadsworth has long been identified as a place where our Momentum model will thrive.
“There is a strong demand from business owners for this type of property which they can either rent or purchase but ultimately offer flexible spaces for their businesses to grow. We hope to secure planning approval in October and aim to start construction work in early 2019.”
