Burnley-based creative agency Root Fifty-Two has renewed
its partnership with Burnley FC in the Community (BFCitC) for another year, reinforcing its commitment to giving back to the local community.
The agency, which provides branding, web and digital marketing services, supported BFCitC in 2024, aligning with the charity’s mission to use the power of football to transform lives.
From working with schools and supporting families to creating safe, inspiring spaces for people of all ages, BFCitC plays a vital role in the Burnley area.
Root Fifty-Two is proud to continue backing its work through staff-led fundraising efforts.
Barrie Thompson, operations director at Root Fifty Two, said: "Burnley FC in the Community are a huge part of what makes this town special.
"It’s not just about football, it’s about people. The work they do genuinely changes lives and it’s our privilege to support their mission."
Over the past 12 months, the team has rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into various fundraising activities, including locking director Barrie in a police cell at Burnley Police Station and raising over £2,000 to help him ‘break free’.
The agency also took part in the charity’s annual Golf Day, raising additional funds to support BFCitC projects.
This year, on 6th June, the brave Root Fifty-Two team will be skydiving from 15,000 feet in their biggest challenge yet.
All sponsorship raised will support BFCitC’s wide-reaching
programmes, including:
• Education and employability support
• Mental health and wellbeing services
• Disability sport and inclusive activities
• Dementia cafés and cancer rehabilitation
• Youth development and veteran support
“We’re aiming to raise £1,000 over the next 12 months, with this and other activities.
"Every donation, big or small, will help make a real difference to local people,” the team added.
It comes after Lancashire Business View reported that Root Fifty-Two has strengthened its team with the additions of Carlota Bevia, who joins as a copywriter and Paul Cooper is a new marketing executive.Paul Cooper, who joined the agency at the end of 2024, has over 10 years of experience in social media, digital marketing and PR, across the public and private sectors.
