Journalist, broadcaster and punk musician John Robb played ringmaster as Blackpool launched its new conference guide and tourism film.
The cover star of Marketing Blackpool’s 2013/14 Conference and Meetings Guide addresses business and tourism leaders to promote the resort.Now adopted by Manchester, Fleetwood-born John urged business event organisers to take a fresh look at the resort and reacquaint themselves with what he says are some of the most unusual and unique venues in the country.
Also unveiled at the event, was Marketing Blackpool’s new 1min, 20 sec business tourism film, which highlights the resort’s appeal for businessBusiness tourism injects more than £60m into Blackpool’s economy each year, welcoming more than 50,000 people to Blackpool for business each year. It’s hoped that the new look Conference and Meetings Guide, film and support from the likes of celebrity John Robb, will help the resort stand out.
John said: “There is nowhere in the world quite like Blackpool. To have so many historic buildings capable of hosting events is pretty impressive.
