Roadshow Promotions have announced their partnership with South Ribble Borough Council to provide a community outreach bus that is making a real meaningful impact.
The Together campaign, an initiative by South Ribble Borough Council, provides essential support services directly to residents in the community.
The most recent Together Roadshow took place from Monday, 9 September, to Saturday, 14 September 2024.
Blackpool based, Roadshow Promotions planned the logistics of the entire tour, liaising with the council for the double-decker bus to be able to stop at various locations across South Ribble including supermarkets, car parks and community centres, as well as providing a driver.
This September tour followed an earlier summer Together Roadshow, both of which provided South Ribble residents with access to valuable resources and services right within their communities.
The fully branded double-decker promotional bus provided a welcoming, accessible hub for residents, delivering tailored support to individuals facing various challenges.
On board the bus visitors could receive assistance on issues like financial worries, housing concerns, social isolation and loneliness, employment and skill development, as well as guidance on healthy eating, exercise, and mental health and wellbeing.
The Council chose a modular outreach bus for their campaign. The fleet of modular promotional buses can be quickly and easily branded inside and out, making them an ideal choice for immersive brand experiences. The modular design significantly reduces setup times and allows for seamless transitions between campaigns, enhancing cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
Services were provided by South Ribble’s Gateway and Social Prescribing teams alongside Progress Housing Group, Unify Credit Union, and Citizens Advice. Residents could meet face-to-face on board the bus with knowledgeable teams and receive free, confidential support, specifically designed to address the unique challenges they face.
A special feature at this year’s roadshow was Dr Bike, an on-site bike repair service allowing visitors to leave with a newly repaired bike, adding a fun and practical service to the event.
Councillor Aniela Bylinski Gelder, deputy leader of South Ribble Borough Council, shared the Council’s commitment to fostering healthy and happy communities, “We’ve worked on a number of initiatives to support our residents already this year with the aim to help tackle issues before they become overwhelming, as well as providing emergency support to those in need.”
With two successful tours this year alone, the Together Roadshow has proven to be a valuable service in the South Ribble community.
Natasha Greenley, director of Roadshow said, “We look forward to continuing this partnership with South Ribble Borough Council and working alongside them to help deliver high-quality, community-focused mobile hubs that bring essential services direct to residents.”
