Ribby Hall Village, the UK Health Club of the Year 2013, has unveiled its all-new £1m gym.
The launch was compered by Olympian Roger Black who gave an inspirational talk to 180 guests including health club members, the media and supporters of Ribby Hall Village.
The layout of the 413 sq ft gym overlooks The Village’s golf course and boating lake, with large viewing windows providing natural light. Technogym cardio machines are fitted with Unity, a state-of-the-art swipe-screen cardio console, which allows users to access their favourite websites and content whilst working out.
Mark Leech, senior manager of sport and leisure at Ribby Hall Village, said: “We pride ourselves on design excellence and quality in our offering to all our members. In response to our growing membership numbers it’s important we offer only the latest and greatest of gym equipment.
Also within the gym is a new spinning zone equipped with Startrac’s latest NXT Blade spin bikes and interactive eSpinners. These bikes feature high resolution touch screens with embedded workouts, an ipod dock and wireless heart rate monitoring. The all-new gym has also doubled the size of its free weights section. The launch of the new gym continues a busy year for Ribby Hall Village’s health club, which has also recently refurbished fitness studios and tennis courts, opened an archery centre, and introduced segways and a floodlit all weather pitch.
