Ribble-Valley based Green Shield Group has announced a number of new projects set to begin in 2025 following a strong end to Q4 2024 with the company working locally and nationally to promote sustainable transformation - installing Solar PV and other renewable technologies across a multitude of sectors.
Green Shield Group has been appointed by Nelson-based Marsden Building Society.
The solar installation will focus on the building societies' carbon reduction, and is set to reduce the 160-year-old business's carbon footprint by 7,000 kg CO2 and its reliance on energy from the grid by 50%, saving over £10,000 annually.
The team has also begun work on-site with Williams Recycling, installing 100kWp solar PV across three roof systems with the Hinckley-based paper and plastic recycler set to move towards reducing their carbon footprint.
January also marks the start of work on an impressive ground mount solar farm at the prestigious grounds of Jupiter Artland in Edinburgh, surrounded by art installations, including work by Tracy Emin.
This follows several new project wins, with work continuing nationwide for Starbucks, new project additions for Greggs, Crowne Plaza London Docklands, and several toll booth sites for the M6 Toll.
The organisation has also provided detailed analysis work for Blackburn College and Oldham College, driving sustainable transformation within the education sector.
Jonathan Harrison, managing director at Green Shield Group said: "We are extremely pleased to be starting the year off with multiple projects already scheduled for the first two quarters of 2025.
"The team worked incredibly hard to expand our presence and influence across several sectors. It's been a pleasure to help big and small brand names implement renewable energy technologies as part of their CSR strategies."
