Remsol, a multi-disciplinary consultancy focused on helping people grow sustainable, resilient businesses, is to launch The Lancashire Green List aimed at celebrating the environmental successes of companies from across the county.
Businesses of all shapes and sizes are being encouraged to submit their entries for the chance to feature in a list of the county's top 'green' performersManaging director, Lee Petts, explains the move: "Lancashire has a number of very high profile business awards, but none that specifically focus on the environmental achievements of local companies.
"If we want businesses to continue investing in sustainability, and to encourage others to do the same, it's important that we recognise and showcase those efforts."The Lancashire Green List will do just that."
Applications to feature in the list are free, and can be completed easily and quickly online at http://bit.ly/LancashireGreenList2016. The closing date for entries is 5pm on Friday 27th November.A panel of experts will then judge the short-listed entries and compile a list of the best performers, which will be published in January 2016.
"In the next few years, we hope that local businesses will come to see an appearance in The Lancashire Green List as a coveted prize, with firms vying to improve their ranking year-on-year by demonstrating bigger and better improvements," concludes Lee.The Lancashire Green List will consider the approach taken to ethical and responsible sourcing, waste and resources, energy and climate, water and wastewater, CSR and community engagement, and sustainable product / service design. Entrants must also highlight their biggest environmental, social and governance achievements of the last 12 months, outlining not only what they've done but also what they've achieved and who benefited.
